Hina Ali has been associated with the Center for Excellence in Journalism (CEJ), Karachi at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in the capacity of an independent trainer since 2019.

CEJ is a collaboration between the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), IBA, and the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, Illinois. CEJ serves as a hub for professional development, training, and networking among Pakistani journalists and media professionals from all parts of the country.

In her capacity as an independent trainer with CEJ, Ms. Ali has successfully trained over a hundred media professionals. Ms. Ali has conducted in-person and online workshops focusing on filming, video editing, visual storytelling, mobile and citizens journalism, and podcasts. She has developed excellent training modules including multimedia presentations and handouts, running and reviewing individual assignments, and providing individual feedback to the participants.
